Who do you feed?
We serve anyone in emergency food need with a primary focus on residents of Ontario County, New York.
Where does the food come from?
We are only able to feed hundreds of households per month thanks to our partnership with local food bank Foodlink (www.foodlinkny.org). We are able to purchase bulk quantities of food through Foodlink as a member agency for pennies a pound in most cases. We are also able to access free USDA food items through this partnership.
Additionally, we rely heavily on community food drives and particularly during times of extreme food insecurity these drives are essential.
How do I find out more about food insecurity?
We are happy to provide information about our local food insecurity numbers. In addition, our local food bank Foodlink is a wonderful source of information. Here are some other organizations that share research and data we trust on a national and international level:
No Kid Hungry
World Food Programme (and World Food Programme USA)
